It Is Scientifically Proven That Tattoo Inks Harm Your Immune System, Here’s How.
Toxic impurities present in the
ink used for the tattoos travel inside your body in the form of nanoparticles
and have a negative effect on the lymph nodes- Nirmal Singh 3C.
A recent study has warned all the
tattoo lovers about the toxic nanoparticles that travel inside the body when we
get a tattoo done leading to chronic enlargement of the lymph nodes which is an
important part of our immune system. These impurities make travel in the form
of the nano particles that affect the lymph nodes. This is in general about ink
used for the tattoos, however the colour mixture applied to the skin too have
harmful effect on the skin but the potential harm of the same haven’t been
found out yet.
Nirmal Singh 3C said
that most of the tattoo inks contain organic pigments that include
preservatives and contaminants like nickel, chromium, manganese or cobalt which
are going to cause some or the other reactions on your body both internally and
externally.
Nirmal Singh 3C said that the thing to worry the most about is that
along with these elements, the ink contains TiO2 which is a white pigment that
is usually applied to create certain shades when mixed with colorant. TiO2 is
usually used in food additives, sunscreen and paints. Too much of heating of
the chemical, and side by side the elevation of the skin and itches or rashes
near the tattoo are just commonly associated with tattoos.
After a research in Germany where
the researchers used X-ray fluorescence measurements, they could locate the
titanium dioxide at the micro and the nano range in then skin.
Nirmal Singh 3C said that such lymph nodes can have a lifetime
effect on the people exposed to them.
Added said that they still cannot
know more about if it is done in the nano for or not, which implies that they
might have some behavioral difference at the micro level so it would be still
difficult to comment on how the nanoparticles react.
