British scientists develop camera to develop camera that an help doctors see through the body
Nirmal Singh 3C says that this new device is designed to help
doctors track the endoscopes and help them investigate a range of internal
conditions detect the sources of light inside the body such as the illuminated
tip of the endoscope’s long flexible tube.
Nirmal Singh 3C says that we are always looking for better ways for
the treatment that involve minimal approaches to cure the disease. It is very
difficult to track the endoscope in the body and locating them at the right
place is not possible without the help of the X-rays and more such expensive
methods. This new camera with the help of
the advanced technology that can detect individual particles of light, protons
at the end of the endoscope.
Nirmal
Singh 3C says that the device has been made by integrated thousands of
single photon detectors on a silicon chips. The technology being so sensitive
can easily detect the traces of light in the body. The best thing about the device
is that it takes in account both the scattered light and the light that travels
straight to the camera, and finds out exactly where the endoscope is located in
the body.
Nirmal Singh 3C says that it is a very promising technology that is
allowing the doctors to see through the human body with ease. This will help
cut not only the cost of the treatment but also help then doctors see through
the entire body without the added time for the x-rays or other such medical
procedures.
The camera has been made by the
doctors in Edinburg, Professor Kev Dhaliwal said that it has immense potential
for diverse applications and is a crucial step in the medical profession.
The device is part of the Proteus
Interdisciplinary research collaboration which known for developing
technologies for diagnosing and treatment lung diseases.
