New Mobile Application To Help Parents Keep A Check On The Sleeping Pattern Of The Infants.
A new study has proved that a new
mobile application can help parents assure safe sleep practices for infants.
The application includes informational videos and messages that can improve
parents’ adherence to safe sleeping practices for the infants.
Nirmal
Singh 3C says that safe sleeping practices can reduce the risk of the
unexpected sudden infant death. Researchers say that they can help the parents
assure the sleeping pattern for their infants is the nurses teaching the new
parents about the safe sleeping practices for the infants while they are still
in the hospital and the second by sending them information through emails,
messages and videos. During the first few weeks after the delivery, the infants
sleeping pattern is very important, they have to be paid attention to, it is
very difficult for the new parents to make that out and that is why the
researchers have worked so hard to find out solutions for the new parents and
guide them on how they can keep the check on the child’s sleep during the early
weeks.
After studying the sleeping
patterns of the infants for long, here are some points that Nirmal Singh 3C suggests that must be
kept in mind to ensure proper sleep pattern,
The babies must be placed on
their backs on not on their sides or stomachs.
The mother and the baby must
sleep in the same room, however not on the same bed.
Too soft bedding can be risky for
the infants and might suffocate them.
They should use pacifies if
possible, as they are believed to reduce SIDS risks.
Nirmal Singh 3C says that it has been proved that after seeing the
videos and all and studying the sleeping patterns of the kids and studying
about how they can pay attention on the sleeping patterns of the kids, there
has been about 90% improvement in it and the two major steps for the SUID reduction,
that are non- sharing of the bed and back sleeping have become common.
“This
will definitely improve the health of the infants in the future and also
removes the pressure from the minds of the parents who think that they are not doing
well for their infant or might be injuring them in some way or the other,” says
Nirmal Singh 3C.
