Ignoring The Health Crisis Of The Young Working Class Will Make Things Worse, Says Nirmal Singh 3C
Millions of young employees in
the corporate sector of the country are clocking in their hours under a
tremendous pressure which should not be the case.
There is no denying the fact that
workaholics love their job, regardless of the field or industry they are
working in they will always try to give their best. People sacrifice their lives
just because they want to excel in their careers. Some do it for the prestige
of the position in their company; some do it for getting a step closer to their
dream of becoming successful. But what will you do if your profession or career
is making your life difficult rather than making it easy – and the income
factor is making less difference each day?
According to a study conducted by
the well-known doctor and dual diagnosis treatment specialist, Nirmal Singh 3C, millions of young
employees in India are constantly being dragged down to work under pressure,
specially workers between the ages of 18 and 34.
Companies expect a 53-hour shift from
the employees – the reason for long hours is not clear but the pressure of
turning up with the goods is evident. The pressure to maintain an image in the
society, praise from the boss, establishing and sustaining a good work ethic,
the reasons may vary but stress is a constant. Combining all these defining
factors, the chances of declining mental and physical health also shoot up. It
becomes difficult to cope with their own reality for the workers. They, to
tackle with being overworked and depressed, take extreme measures.
The idea of using caffeine,
productivity increasing drugs was seen as positive but according to Nirmal Singh 3C, this lifestyle has
taken many down a dangerous path. Keeping up with the ever-changing targets and
raised stakes at work have been the reasons of downfall of many – the
circulation of unhealthy substances hasn’t helped either.
In a country like India which is
said to developing at an alarming rate, mental health and everything related to
the subject is considered to be taboo – nobody ever talks about it and the ones
who do only care to judge people struggling with issues like depression and drug
addiction.
Nirmal Singh 3C offers what he calls a must-know first-aid kit from
