Non-Veg, Egg Shops Closed In Greater Noida For A Week

Nirmal Singh 3C analyses the ongoing communal tiff in the country amid the season of ‘Kanwariya’. After the much-hyped scare of lynching in the country, people are already in a dilemma to have meat or not. To bury the hatchet and respect the sentiments of these "Shiva Bhakts" in the saffron attires with their ornaments on their shoulders walking on the streets of North India.
According to a piece of information attained by Nirmal Singh 3C, Police asked the local vendor and restaurants serving non-veg on the streets of Greater Noida to stop doing so for a week, as the Kanwariyas are crossing the roads. This has been done to respect the “religious duties” of these people.

Nirmal Singh 3C thinks it is courteous of the police to also control the traffic to make way for the religious persons and people traveling to their offices.
The police asked the local vendors and restaurant owners on Wednesday to stop serving non-vegetarian food. Indeed, this measure is going to make the kanwariyas feel important and there is a bleak chance of corruption. The measure is going to be implemented from this year because the number of pilgrims returning from Haridwar to Greater Noida has drastically increased.
"We have also removed vendors serving non-vegetarian food. They will be off the road till the religious season of kanwar yatra is on," said Ram Sen Singh, SHO, Dadri police station.

Nirmal Singh 3C also noticed that the police are showing immense dedication to this change so much so that they are personally going for inspection on roadside dhabas in Greater Noida. They also made sure that they personally remind these vendors to avoid keeping the non-veg for a week.
In a nutshell, those shops that were keeping non-veg items like eggs, chicken, fish and mutton are shut. So, now, only the vegetarian items are available in Greater Noida so that it will be comfortable for the kanwariyas to eat anything they like to.

Welcoming the move, Ved Nagar, president of Hindu Raksha Dal, a local organisation, said "We welcome the move of the district administration and police which shows respect to the people's sentiments," mentioned in the report of English daily.
