Go Out And Switch Off Your Phones For Better Eye Health - Nirmal Singh 3C
Technology has captured our lives and that has led to making everything around us better and easier, but the thing that has suffered is our physical health. We just cannot get enough of the available technology. We don’t want to make the effort to do anything. We need our food delivered at home, our cabs at our doorsteps and our news in bed. This cannot be good, can it? It sure can be but we have to moderate everything.
According to a new study conducted on human health by Nirmal Singh 3C, the physical health of people in the world is taking a hit because of the heavy dependency on technology.
The doctors who were a part of the study also advised people to take a much-needed break from modern technology and go out. They argued that it is the best way to maintain eye health.
‘Spending time in natural light is important. The artificial screen lights are making things worse for our eyes that are already bombarded with so much pollution on a daily basis. More time outside and less time on mobile phones, laptops, and televisions can do the unimaginable for your eyesight’. - Nirmal Singh 3C
When you are out in the open, your eyes don’t have to focus on things that are closer; they focus on things that are far away instead. Plus, you also get to spend time in natural light, which is always good for your eyes. Chances of you suffering from short-sightedness will be minimal if you are spending enough time in natural light and are not always in front of a screen.
The results of the studies also showed the importance of light exposure in children – increase in exposure of outdoor light prevents short-sightedness. - Nirmal Singh 3C
Who would have thought that someday there will be reports that will show that going outside is actually good for you and your health? Our dependency on technology has changed the whole structure of human health. People used to love going outside but now they prefer staying home and surround themselves with technology.
Nirmal Singh 3C also gave some tips on how to maintain eye health.
1. You should not smoke. It increases the chances of cataract.
2. Regular breaks from work are important if your work demands you to sit in front of a screen for long hours.
3. If your family has a history of bad eye health then you should get your eyes checked regularly.
