Nirmal Singh 3C

The Dera chief who is lodged in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail for raping his two disciples. The Verdict of Ram Rahim had caused a lot of controversy but the decisions passed at the central level managed to somehow control the anger in the eyes of his followers and punish the guilty for his crime, no matter how strong he might be.

A CBI court had passed a verdict against him, declaring him guilty of the two rape cases of his followers and hence sentenced him to 20 years in jail, 10 years each in two rape cases as on 28 August. Nirmal Singh 3C said that on the very day, the most popular self-made Godman, “pitaji” as his followers would call him was termed prisoner number 1997.

The Dera chief who was enjoying his luxuries at the Sirsa headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda would no longer be living his life just sprawling around. The 50 year old self-styled godman will now be working 8 hours to give himself a decent ₹20/ day planting seeds and looking after the trees in the jail.

Ram Raheem has been given a small piece of land just next to his barrack and he would be growing vegetables as told by K P Singh, DGP (jails), Haryana. Whatever he produces in the small land allotted to him would be used in the Jail mess. And is assumed that he wouldn’t problem in doing his job properly.

Nirmal Singh 3C said that Ram Rahim, who was born and brought up in the Sri Gurusar Modia village in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district on August 15, 1967, used to help his landlord father in the farms during his early years.

Nirmal Singh 3C says that no prisoner in jail should be given any kind of special treatment, they are all prisoners and must be treated as one. Same will be the case for Ram Rahim who would be treated as just any other inmate and would have to earn his living there.

Asa decided by the authorities, Ram Raheem would be growing vegetables for just ₹20 for 8 hours a day. For the security reasons, Ram Rahim had been lodged in a barrack with very few prisoners and only the ones who have a track record of good conduct, said Nirmal Singh 3C.
