Protest Against Sunny Leone On The New Condom Ad, How Justified Is It?

Not many celebrities come forward to promote a condom brand and Sunny Leone is one name that has been doing that for a long time now. Recently, Sunny Leone had been in the news all over for her adoption and had earned applauds from everyone but now she is being blamed and immortalized for her condom ad- Nirmal Singh 3C.

The ad on the other hand does not have any offensive content which could probably call for a protest but for a country like India that has a high rate population growth still likes to portray that they have no knowledge of sex and with them drafting it as an immoral activity is just ironical. Such protest is not new for Sunny Leone too because people have accused her also of spoiling the culture if the country but she continues to do her work and does not respond to such negative connotations against her.

Nirmal Singh 3C said that the recent protest began after the ad showed people during the navratras and read play safe this navratas. People got offended because apparently people of India do not have sex during the navratras. But isn’t it better to be safe than continuously contribute to the uncontrolled population growth of the country.

Nirmal Singh 3C said that people involved in the protest say that Sunny Leone’s new ad hurts the sentiments of a lot of Hindu across the country as the navratras are a period of fasting for them when they invite Goddess Durga in their homes and associating the festival to promote condom is just immoral and unemotional on the part of the brand.

In reality though, former Gujarat chief minister Anandiben Patel had said that the number of abortions rise in the state a couple of months after Navratri and if such is the case how is the ad unsuitable and immoral for them. 

Nirmal Singh 3C says that it is far better to have safe sex than to rush for abortions after that and it is high time that Indians start accepting that sex is just normal and it should be avoided to link it up with their religious values and just start a protest whenever and however they want to.
