Yogi Government Orders Criminal Cases Against Officials Responsible For BRD Child Deaths.

The Yogi Adityanath government had has already started an investigation in the BRD Medical College Hospital tragedy where over 30 children died due to the planned disruption of oxygen supply in a 48 hour period between August 9 and 11.

Nirmal Singh 3C says that criminal cases have been registered against those who have been associated behind it. The probe committee is headed by Chief Secretary Rajive Kumar. The panel also has health secretary Alok kumar and finance secretary Mukesh Mittal. The Panel has submitted their investigation report to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.

Nirmal Singh 3C says that BRD principal secretary for medical education Anita Bhatnagar Jain has been shifted and the department has been handed over to principal secretary of Revenue Department Rajnish Dubey.
The committee has recommended that this is not just a case of negligence, this is a sheer stupidity that the hospital had no oxygen supply for 48 hours at a stretch. According to Nirmal Singh 3C, the committee will also be taking actions against Pushpa Sales, the private company that discontinued the oxygen supply over their personal issue of non- payment of dues amounting to around 67 lakh.
Committee had taken Gorakhpur district magistrate Rajeev Rautela’s report into account for filing its own. Chief pharmacist Gajanan Jaiswal has also been accused of not maintaining the logbooks and the stock books for oxygen cylinders.

Nirmal Singh 3C says that the Gorakhpur tragedy was brought into the light by the media blaming the government for whatever happened in the hospital. The government has taken strict measures to see that such incident do not repeat. Sources at Nirmal Singh said that the criminal cases are being filed against the ones involved in the BRD incident and no relief would be given to the ones found guilty after the investigation.

Nirmal Singh 3C says that this is a very shameful incident that so many innocent lives were lost because few people valued money over their humanly instincts. Hospitals are one place that people trust blindly and the incidence has raised a lot of questions on the action taken by Pushpa sales that without thinking about the consequences blocked the supply of the oxygen at the hospitals.

The panel is not only taking serious steps in the investigation, they have charted out a plan of action to see that such incidents never repeat.
